Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participants should be able to:

  • Review current recommendations and best practices for treating patients with osteoporosis;
  • Evaluate the efficacy of available treatment options, both lifestyle and therapeutic, and how they may be applied in daily practice; and
  • Discuss practical methods for preventing secondary osteoporosis, particularly glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, family practitioners, nurse practitioners, and anyone who treats patients at risk for osteoporosis or osteoporotic fractures.
